How I keep your address

When you leave a letter at my door, you give me your first name and your email address. This is what I do with them.

Who looks after them

Me, Gemma Williams, trading as InkSmudge Journals, in south Manchester. You can write to me at inksmudgejournals@gmail.com.

What I use them for

Only to write to you about the house: when the door opens, when a new room opens, and when new things turn up. I use your name so my letters can begin with it. I never sell your address or give it to anyone else to use.

Who helps me

Kit sends my emails and keeps the list of addresses. Netlify runs this website and keeps a back-up copy of each letter. Both are based in the United States and look after your details under the safeguards UK law requires for sending information abroad.

How long I keep them

Until you ask me to stop. Every email I send has a link at the bottom that takes you off the list straight away, or you can simply write to me.

On this device

This website remembers, only in your own browser, that you have already left a letter and whether you turned the sound off. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to me and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, please tell me first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
